Creating a Greener Future

Sustainability at Spica is not just about adopting the latest energy-efficient technologies or turning to renewable sources of power. It is also about changing our behaviour and mindset to reduce power and water consumption, thereby helping to control emissions and pollution levels.

We are a forward-thinking organization committed to environmental stewardship, with a holistic approach to sustainability that encompasses a variety of eco-conscious initiatives. These initiatives not only reduce their environmental impact but also contribute positively to their local communities and the planet as a whole.

Drives

The company has pledged to plant one tree for every employee
every year.

Our tree plantation drives offer a unique opportunity for employees to learn about environmental conservation, the importance of trees in mitigating climate change, and the significance of preserving biodiversity. These drives also educate individuals about the ecological benefits of trees, such as carbon sequestration, soil conservation, and the provision of habitat for various species.

Spica Group places a strong emphasis on responsible water management.

We have implemented a “zero water discharge” policy in all our manufacturing processes. This means that no wastewater is released into the environment without proper treatment. By minimizing water pollution, Spica Group is protecting local ecosystems and conserving this precious natural resource for our future generations.

Practices

Spica Group actively reuses and recycles water within their operations.

Advanced water treatment technologies are employed to purify and repurpose water for various industrial processes. This approach not only reduces water consumption but also minimizes the need for freshwater extraction, preserving natural water sources. Additional water used in the company’s facilities and manufacturing process is treated and returned to communities and nature.

Energy-efficient lighting is a cornerstone of Spica Group’s sustainability efforts.

One of the main reasons for this transition throughout our facilities is that most LED lights consume energy to solely create light, rather than creating light and heat; as less efficient forms of lighting do. This shift not only reduces our operational costs but also demonstrates our commitment to energy conservation

Integration

Solar panels are installed in our facilities to generate clean, renewable electricity.

To further reduce our carbon footprint, Spica Group harnesses the power of solar energy. This not only reduces reliance on fossil fuels but also provides a sustainable source of power while contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
